Cutting Wood in Blue Canyon

Our first house had a fireplace. It was an old house, built around 1900, a small crackerbox brick affair and when we bought it; it was on the verge of being condemned. We were young and broke, so we couldn’t afford to buy a cord of wood to burn, so we got a chain saw and a wood cutting permit and went up into Blue Canyon to cut our own. Since I’m not allowed near the power tools, I took my camera and snapped a few photos. This is one of my favorite ones of my husband.
